Combining a dedicated passion for golf with decades of experience and deep industry knowledge in every facet of the sport, the Milestone team works to transform individual talent and long-lasting corporate relationships into bottom line results and life long legacies.
From the fairways of the most venerated courses in the world to the boardrooms of the world’s most powerful brands, Jon Wagner is known as a strategic, tenacious and forthright thought leader.
Today, these traits are at the very heart of Milestone Sports Management and its commitment to operate under a new standard and approach to branding and management through a new lens.
Wagner’s well-deserved reputation and multi-disciplinary experience can be traced to his early days as Director of Sponsor Services for the PGA TOUR and Director of Sales and Marketing for the Senior PGA Championship, as well as his tenure as Managing Director of Pinehurst Championship Management where he oversaw the 1994 U.S. Senior Open Championship, the 1996 U.S. Women’s Open and the 1999 U.S. Open Championship.
As Executive Director for the PGA TOUR Championship, Jon directed all aspects of community outreach, tournament operations, volunteer coordination and charitable donations.
It was under his calculated and creative oversight that the season-ending tournament established new records for sales, marketing, advertising, and public relations initiatives.
Wagner has managed the careers of world-renowned golf professionals including all branding, marketing, media & sponsor relations, and provided expertise, guidance and integration for well-known corporations in the financial, insurance and oil & gas sectors. Prior to founding Milestone, Jon most recently served as Co-Managing Director of the Americas for IMG Golf – a title that included directing all North American event and business development activities, and serving on the four-member Global Golf Committee.
